This week has been…hot. Literally. We had a heatwave here and it was 99 degrees plus humidity so the “real feel” was like 110 degrees. Miserable! Needless to say, I hardly left the house and I’m pretty sure my electric bill will be insane.
I have a bunch of posts in my drafts, I just haven’t gotten around to writing much this week. Hopefully I’ll get back to it next week!
I talked about these on my Instagram stories yesterday and they’re too good to not share here. Our third floor gets so hot in the summertime, even with the dampers set to summer. I found these vent boosters and the difference is NOTICEABLE. It dropped the bedrooms upstairs several degrees and I highly recommend them if you have hot bedrooms in the summertime. They’re such a lifesaver and work incredibly well.
My teriyaki beef and broccoli got an update this week. One of my favorite take-out recipes made at home!
I have been immersed in my Steam Deck this week playing Supermarket Simulator. It is highly addicting and the most fun. I oddly have always wanted to be a cashier so this game is perfect, lol…if you like sim games and building a retail store and figuring out how to lay out a store, inventory, etc., this is for you!
I’ve declared this year the year we as millennials go back to our high school days and relive our emo phase. I saw a hashtag for all the bands that I loved in high school that said we were in our #elderemo phase. Omg, I feel so old. Anyone recall We The Kings, Mayday Parade, Boys Like Girls, Anberlin, Finch, etc.? I can’t wait for all the concerts this year especially All Time Low.
Tomorrow, I start my first ceramics class! It’s a 6 week beginners course and I’m both nervous and excited. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for years and I finally was able to find a place that had an opening that worked with my schedule.
I haven’t been reading as much because I’ve been using my free time playing video games BUT I finally finished the book I was reading and I really enjoyed it (more on that in a few days). I started a new book and the banter so far is so good. Can’t wait to talk more about it!
Alright, that’s all I’ve got for this week. Fingers crossed for better weather, lol
xx

Ooh, ceramics class sounds fun! I should take advantage of the classes offered here in Howard County -- there are tons!
