My 2+ weeks in California has come to an end and I’m so sad. On one hand, I’m excited to go home and be back in routine again, but on the other hand, I’m going to miss waking up every morning and walking out into the living room and hanging out with my parents all day.
ICYMI, this is what I posted this week:

I took my parents to afternoon tea at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena and it was amazing! Of course, afternoon tea in America isn’t like it is in England, but the one at The Langham was one of the better ones I’ve had. Afterwards, we walked around the beautiful hotel grounds and their garden area.
My parents took me to go see Rock Stars on Ice at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Sunday. I’ve never seen an ice skating show in person, only on tv, and when I was younger, I always watched Kristi Yamaguchi at the Olympics. For a short time, I wanted to be an ice skater, lol…anyway, the show was incredible and so immersive. They’re SO talented! Highly recommend!
One of my closest friends (who was my neighbor but then moved back to San Diego) had her baby shower in San Diego this past weekend and I drove down to celebrate Baby Lane! It was so nice seeing her again and seeing some new friends that I had previously met at her birthday party last year. I stayed with Dorothy for a quick night and it was the best time being able to hang out and chat together.
I’m currently reading Broken Country and kind of struggling with it. I’m about 50% in and it’s finally starting to pick up a bit so I’ll keep going with it. As of now, I’m thinking it’s just another hyped book and not sure what all the noise is about, lol

We went to Century City Mall (my favorite) and this popular Chinese tea place had just opened and we decided to try it. It was actually pretty good and their OG drink was so refreshing and I would definitely get it again.
I had the best ramen at Ramen Nagi and would highly recommend it. I love how straight-forward the menu is even with all the options. I got the spicy king!
Finally, it was a joy to see Michelle, Jake, and her kids for lunch. Michelle is the co-founder of Souper Cubes and we have become fast friends over the years. Just last November, they hosted us at their house for an incredible dinner. Sadly, just a short time later, their house burned down in the Malibu fires. Seeing Michelle and Jake live through this and their resilience is inspiring. Whatever comes next for them, I know they will put 110% behind creating their new chapter.

Yes I do so hate to settle in with a book that has been touted as great! Only to be disappointed. Half way thru! Wow I probably would not finish. But I'm a mood reader. Love hearing about your trip! Great pictures!
