weekly wrap: vol 19
life is just so much better when you have your bestie visit!
Brandy visited me last week so I was a little preoccupied and completely forgot to write a weekly wrap! I did manage to finish writing this post on my experience with stainless steel so if you’ve been curious about converting your cookware, take a read.
ICYMI

Last week when Brandy was here, we did a lot of shopping (naturally). We went to Old Town Alexandria where I took her to this epic deli (Eddie’s) where we got delicious sandwiches. We also went to the mall one of the days because it unexpectedly rained all day so what are girls to do? Shop inside, of course! Haha, we spent like 7 hours at the mall too. If you’re familiar with the Tysons area, there’s two malls across the street from each other so we did both. We actually were on a mission to find some barrel jeans because supposedly that’s the trend now. Let me tell you - Brandy looks amazing in them and I look terrible, haha
We can’t stop dreaming about the iced pistachio latte with vanilla cream cold foam from Shotted. Best pistachio latte we’ve ever had and their cold foam beats any other cold foam we’ve had as well. It’s just sooo creamy and perfect.
Omg, if you have a Jeni’s ice cream near you, you have to go try their seasonal flavor, miso butterscotch brownie. It’s the perfect sweet salty combo and it’s so satisfying. It’s SO good with their salty peanut chocolate chip. I’m obsessed and can’t stop thinking about it.
Brandy and I have a fun routine when we’re together in the same bedroom or hotel room. We have our nightly pillow talks. It’s probably one of my favorite things we do together. We just lay in bed and chat about the day and whatever else. It’s so relaxing.
I recently upgraded my old MacBook Pro to the new MacBook Air and it’s so beautiful and light. It’s like a little over 2 pounds and I got it in the Starlight color, which is a gorgeous champagne gold. It’s going to make traveling with two laptops so much easier because my work laptop isn’t super heavy either. I also went from a 15” screen to a 13” screen because I just wanted something more compact for on the go.
What do we think about the new iOS 26 update? For the most part, I really like it, especially the liquid glass, but CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE KEYBOARD?! Why did they change it? I have so many more typos now and at first I thought it was me but my friend brought up the same thing and we found a reddit thread that showed a photo of the before and after. They added more spacing between each key and shrinked the size of each key. WHYYYY? Lol
I downloaded Tiny Glade yesterday and I’ve already sunk 5 hours into it. It’s the coziest, prettiest, and most relaxing game. There is literally no obstacles. It doesn’t cost anything to build structures, there’s no combat, no goals, no management; it is simply whimsical and your own imagination. You can build villages, cottages, castles, whatever you want in your little ‘glade’ and you can pick the seasons and all this decor to match. Little animals like sheep, ducks, birds start showing up when you add in a pond and/or grassland. It’s a little hard to articulate how diverse and simply AMAZING this game is. You can have so many saves and create a new build depending on your mood. I absolutely LOVE it. It’s just nice to not have to have a goal or restrictions on what you can build. The graphics are beyond adorable as well.
Costco has a 4 pack of mums for $15.99 and I went and picked some up for our front stairs. They’re a variety of colors so I can’t wait for it to spruce up our front door area!
I’m bummed that it’s still in the mid 80’s here. We had a week of fake Fall and I was absolutely living for it. I hope it really starts to cool down soon.
I hope you have a great Friday and lovely weekend!
