It’s been a while, huh? 2.5 years, to be exact.
When I first started this Substack, I wasn’t entirely sure where it would go. Like most creative experiments, it began with curiosity and the quiet hope that it might resonate with someone. But life happened — as it tends to do — and somewhere along the way, I paused. Or maybe the better word is re-evaluate. I needed time away, and I took it.
Now I’m here again, brushing the crumbs off this space and resetting the table. No perfect plan, a slight rebranding, and a return. A return to writing, to thinking out loud, to connecting.
While Table for Two will always exist for all your recipe needs, I want table talk. to feel more like a conversation than an algorithm and SEO-driven place. I don’t want ads in this space. I want less perfectly packaged ideas, and more about the messy, honest stuff — the in-between moments, the slowed down coffee talk, the questions that don’t have easy answers, the raw and unfiltered thoughts. I want to create something that feels real. We all need more of that these days, especially when it feels like the world is burning and things are faked thanks to AI.
More than anything, I want to build a deeper connection with you — the reader on the other side of the screen. I want this to be a safe space where we can just chat together. I’ll write more regularly, not just when inspiration strikes but because showing up matters — even when it’s imperfect.
Let’s navigate this together. I want this space to feel like ours, not just mine.
If there's something you'd love to see more of here — certain topics or ways we can interact — I’d truly love to hear from you. Whether it’s a quick thought, a longer reflection, or just a “hey, I’m here,” your feedback means a lot. You can reply to this post, leave a comment, or use the table talk. chat. Sharing this with your friends is another great way to add more seats at the table.
I want table talk. to feel like a conversation that grows with the people in it. So tell me:
What would make this space feel more like yours, too? I’m also curious what would make it worth it to you to be a paid subscriber? Like what kind of content should be free vs. paid?
If you’re still here, thank you. If you’re new, welcome. Either way, I’m glad you’re reading this. Let’s start again — slower, maybe, but with more intention.
More soon.
xx
